Look out for theseThe distance markers were made from reclaimed groynes from the old sea defences. They are placed every 200meters (one furlong) along the promenade in both directions from Pier Towers. Each post has a plaque showing an image of one of the types of fossils that can be found on the beach, and the distance to Pier towers.
